What's the difference between the senz° mini and the senz° mini ao?
The biggest difference between the mini and the mini ao is that this last one has an automatic open mechanism. With just one push of a button, you are protected against all weather influences! Also the mini ao has a steel shaft which makes it extra strong. The difference in sizes you can find on our product page, where you can click on the link: 'model specifications'

 

What's the difference between the senz° mini and the senz° original?
The biggest difference between the mini and the original is that the mini is a pocket sized umbrella which can easily fit your bag. Also the original has the unique patented rib system which prevents the umbrella to flip. Because the mini is a pocket sized umbrella, it has a different folding mechanism that is more vulnerable during strong winds. For this reason we advice to not use the mini above wind force 8 while the original can easily hold up to wind force 10.

 

What's the difference between the original line and the smart line?
The senz° collection consists out of two product lines: the senz° original line and the senz° smart line. The senz° original line is what started our adventure, and the models are simply said 'the best umbrellas in the world!', with prices between €44.95 and €59.95

With the smart line we have created a whole new affordable line of storm umbrellas with fun & fashionable colors and prints with prices already starting at €24.95!

Both the original line and the smart line have the familiar aerodynamic senz° shape. This way the umbrellas always find the most comfortable position in the wind and don't go inside out! The difference between the two lines is that we have saved on a few details with the smart line. This way we were able to offer them to a more affordable price. Visible differences are for example; the eyesavers, the open mechanism and the handle. The smart line has basic rounded caps on the end of the ribs, a plastic sliding mechanism to open the umbrella and a modern, ergonomic handle. While the original line umbrellas are provided with the pattented eyesavers at the end of the ribs, and an integrated open mechanism in the soft and comfortable handle. Another important difference is that the original line umbrellas are treated with an extra UV-coating on the fabric, so you are also protected against the bright sun. This way you can enjoy the weather in all circumstances!

In terms of resistance, we recommend the smart line to be used at wind force 6-8. Moreover, the smart s (pocket size) up to wind force 6 and the smart (stick model) up to wind force 8. The original stick models can be used up to wind force 10.

The warranty period for the smart line umbrellas is 12 months and for the original line models it is 2 years. For more information, please check out our warranty page.

 

Which umbrella fits my bag?
We are all familiar with those dark clouds in the sky, that make us wonder wether or not to take our beloved senz° umbrella with us. At these moments we often prefer a senz° that can be put away in our bags so that we don't have to hold on to it when it is not raining.

But which of our different models are suitable to put in your bag?
In our webshop you will find three different models that are perfect for these situations: the senz° smart s from our smart line collection & the mini and mini ao from our original line collection. These three models can be folded to fit your bag perfectly and the mini ao even has an automatic open function that opens your senz° with a push of a button!

 

Where can I find the dimensions of the different senz° models?
To find out which senz° is best suitable for you, you can also check out the different dimensions of each model. At the collection menu you can choose the senz° model where you'd like to know more about. On the product page there is a link at the right bottom of the page which says 'specifications'. By clicking on the link, a pop-up screen will appear which can help you decide which senz° is best for you.

 

How can I pay for my order?
All orders can be paid by credit card. For orders that are placed within the Netherlands, iDeal is also an option. These payments go through the Ogone online payment system.

iDeal: This payment system works through the online banking system. If you do your online banking with Rabobank, ABN AMRO, ING, SNS Bank, Postbank or Fortis Bank, you can pay through the system you are familiar with and use your own bank card.
credit card: During the payment process you have the option to pay by VISA or MasterCard. Choose your option and fill in the requested credit card information. When the payment is verified, we will be informed that your order has been paid.

I didn't correctly fill out my contact information, what do I do?
It can always happen that you accidentally fill in a wrong or incomplete address so that the order cannot be delivered to you. Our ordering system is very fast and your webshop order is directly send to our logistics partner which arranges all of our shipments. They process your order directly into their system, and in most cases, immediately make them ready for shipment. This happens automatically and they don't check the addresses at for hand. If you find out instantly during office hours from Mondays to Fridays, please contact us at +31 (0)15 2562004 to let us know. This way it's very possible that we can still make the changes for you. If you find out later or it is during the evening/weekend, please send an email to customercare@senzumbrellas.com. At that time we can't do anything to change it and we must await your order to return to our external warehouse. Once it arrives back, we will contact you to resend the order in which you are responsible for the shipping fee of the 2nd shipment.

 

In which countries/regions do you deliver, what are the shipping charges and how long does it take?
We deliver our products to all countries around the globe. For Switzerland please visit our Swiss webshop. For Australia please visit our Australian webshop. For Japan please visit our Japanese distributors webshop.

Please note that for orders outside the European Union, possible import duties and VAT could be charged by your local customs. Check with your local customs office for the estimated costs. (senz° cannot be held responsible for these additional costs)

We always try to process your order right away so you'll receive the senz° umbrella(s) within the estimated delivery time. Did you not receive your order and the delivery time has expired? Please contact us!

 

Can I pick up my order at your office?
Unfortunately not. Although we appreciate good company, we try to work as fast as possible. Therefore we don't hold any stock at our office but send out the order from our external warehouse.

 

I might not be home at the time of delivery, what do I do?
We recommend you to fill in a shipping address where you or your family/friends/colleagues are available to accept the package. The mailman is allowed to deliver your package at adjacent addresses when nobody answers at your address. You'll find a note in your mailbox telling you how to collect your package. Alternatively, the mailman will come back the next day for a second delivery attempt. If delivery is still not possible, you will be asked to pick up your package or to make an appointment for another delivery. In both cases, you'll receive a written notification in your mailbox. For orders within the Netherlands we use PostNL or Selektvracht. For orders elsewhere we use Fedex.

 

My package arrived damaged, what should I do?
If damage is visible on the outside of your package, you should reject it immediately. If this is not possible anymore, please contact us at customercare@senzumbrellas.com to take care of possible replacement.

 

My package should have been delivered, what should I do?
Has the  delivery time elapsed and you still haven't received your order? Please contact us at customercare@senzumbrellas.com and tell us your order number. We will then immediately request for your tracking information and find out the whereabouts of your order.

 

I would prefer a different color/model, can I exchange my senz°?
Of course it is possible for you to exchange the purchased senz° for another model or color. We don't recommend this due to the extra shipping fee that is charged to the customer for sending us back the senz° umbrella and for the replacement we send after that.
What we often suggest is to check in your immediate surroundings if there is anyone who wants to take over your purchased senz° (family, colleagues, acquaintances, etc.) so that you can order a new senz° from our webshop.
If this is not possible, please contact our customer care department. They will instruct you on how to return the senz° and order a new one.

 

I want to return my senz° umbrella, what should I do?
Of course we find it very unfortunate when you, for whatever reason, decide not to keep the senz° umbrella. You can return the umbrella within the statutory period of 8 days and send it back to us in the original packaging and plastics, including packing list and invoices. Our address is:

Please include a note which tells us why you are sending back the umbrella to us. Once we have received the package, we will contact you about the amount to be refunded. Shipping fee is not refunded!

 

How long is the warranty period?
At senz° we have the "no nonsense" warranty. No difficult questions, no excuses, just quick and well organized! For our original line the warranty period is 2 years and for our smart line the warranty period is 12 months. For more information, please visit our warranty page.

 

Who can I contact when something is wrong with my senz­°?
Officially your vendor is responsible for handling your claim and your purchase receipt serves as your warranty. You can go back to the store of purchase with your receipt and broken umbrella. What does the senz° do in a heave storm?
If you are used to holding a traditional umbrella, it will take some getting used to when conquering the weather with your senz° for the first time. When you hold the senz° loosely in one hand (check out our tips & trick page) it will find the right position in the wind itself. At first you will maybe instinctively want to grab your senz° firmly with two hands and hold it against the wind. But this is not necessary because the senz° is aerodynamic and doesn't need any help! Just think of it as a bird that lets its wings flow through the wind automatically with the different wind directions.
